... from the beneficiaries of home care services:
“When I left the hospital I had only one question in my mind: how would I manage at home? I could not walk, not even with the help of the walking frame. The doctor had recommended me to remain immobilized in bed for the following 20 days. I was desperate! After a very short time, things changed: you came! I do not know how to thank to the Foundation… Mihaela is a wonderful person and I thank her from the bottom of my heart!”

“If the girls (home carers) would not come … I do not know what I would do! I feel so good now, knowing I am not alone anymore; there are people who take care of us; us, the lonely and sick elders! They have very good souls and they are also good professionals and that is what helps us overcome the difficult moments of our lives, moments when you do not see any other solution. I want to thank you from all my heart for everything you do, not only for me, but also for all the other beneficiaries of your services”.

... from drugs dependants:
„All the guys do drugs in my district... Some of them take one dose, just because of curiousity.....but some of us took heroin and we soon got addicted; I’ve told myself several times: „tomorrow I’ll quit..." but I have never thought it is so hard to quit something that you are aware that it harms you. First, I lost my job, later my friends and finally my family; all happened gradually, not realizing that, I slowly ended up alone. I hardly got aware of it and reckoned I needed help. Last time when I was hospitalised for detoxification I met people from the Community Care Services foundation; they showed me the way to become the one was before the first dose....”

“After four attempts to quit heroin, I had no more hope left that I was able to change. I ended by dissapointing my family and bringing them to dispair.. noboby trusted me, not even me. After the first meetings with the psychologist and with the social worker, I was surprised that my mother is still giving me a chance; then I understood how important is to be supported when you try to quit drugs. Now, I very slowly learn to trust myself again.”
